摘要

This paper presents a Fuzzy Deductive Object-Oriented Synergistic Modelling (FDOOSM) approach to the development of a Computer Aided Process Planning (CAPP) system,describing the key design decisions and their consequences for implementation.The approach integrates an Object-oriented Synergistic Modelling (OOSM) methodology which combines object-oriented analysis and design,object-oriented programming and object-oriented database,with deductive mechanisms to offer the benefits of an integrated and intelligent development environment for the data-intensive and knowledge-intensive CAPP application.Fuzzy logic is further utilised to define uncertain relationships and constraints for more accurately representing process planners' knowledge,thereform making the CAPP system flexible and efficient.
