摘要

The Electronic Toll Collection(ETC) system is an important domain of the Intelligent Transport System. The ETC application effectively enhances highway pass rate, reduces the environmental pollution. The effective method to promote the ETC system in our country is researching a On-Board Equipment (OBE) which is in low cost and conveniently used. The designed equipments contain On-Board Equipment and Road-Side Equipment (RSE), it realizes the short-range communication between OBE and RSE with wireless technology. The RSE transfers the information of vehicles to the PC which will toll the fee by the vehicles' style. Then the information is refreshed and saved in the database for query and statistics. Here the whole process is finished automatically. The paper designs the OBE with MCU and wireless model. The PC surface is designed by VB for real-time displaying the information of vehicles. Meanwhile the database is established with Access, it can accomplish the function of data management.
