An oversight into several key areas of application for the EVARCrnin relation to safety and performance testing of lithiumbasedrnsingle cells and cell packs is presented.rnThis testing specifically applies to secondary lithium-basedrncells, which due to their high energy density provide the bestrnsolution to electrical energy storage in pure or hybrid electricrnvehicles and other high-demand applications.
