1. MS sealant 1) Silyl terminated polyether based sealant (MS sealant) has been widely used as joint sealant for long term due to its versatility. 2) Vintage MS sealants applied more than 10 years ago show dirt pick-up but no stain around the joints. 3) Sliced vintage MS sealant shows excellent mechanical properties for more than a decade except surface. 4) MS sealant is supposed to satisfy waterproofing durability and excellent halo-stain durability for more than 10 years. 2. Accelerating test 1) An accelerating test method of sealant durability needs to accord with actual durability at site. 2) Dynamic exposure test Is most reliable to evaluate durability due to actual climate and movements. SR, MS: Excellent durability PS: Cohesion failure PU: Cracks and adhesion loss 3) A method combining light / movement factors Is currently proposed.
