Pressure Sensitive Adhesion Examined by Contact Mechanics

摘要

1. Elastic networks were created to mimic PSAs and Release Coatings. 2. Used contact mechanics to determine surface energy of PSAs and release coatings and the interfacial energy between them. 3. Peel strengths of PSA to PSA and PSA ;o release coating were measured. 4. Adhesion hysteresis was examined and s surmised to be due to interfacial restructuring 5. Found a relationship between threshold adhesion energy and practical adhesion.
