This paper presents an extension of the previous work by thernauthors1 to examine common reserve analysis techniques forrnnon-communicating multilayered tight gas reservoirs. Tightrngas reservoirs present unique challenges to the practicingrnreservoir engineer. One significant problem is estimatingrnultimate recoverable reserves for a tight gas reservoir. Thernextended time required to establish boundary dominated flowrnin the tight gas systems conflicts with the need to accuratelyrnestimate performance-based recoverable reserves early in thernlife of the well. One other complicating factor is thernapplication of single layer solution techniques to thernmultilayered commingled completion.rnConceptual simulation cases are presented as a control set torntest the accuracy of each analytical method. The simulationrnresults are also used to test various methods of predicting therntime required to establish boundary dominated flow in multilayered,rncommingled completions. The two simulation casesrnunder consideration are a uniform drainage area and a channelrnsystem. Well performance analysis is evaluated during bothrnearly time transient and late time boundary dominated flow. Arnfield example is included comparing the results of eachrntechnique through time.
