Scaling up DSC manufacture must address increased device efficiency and rapid processing. Ultra-fast multiple dye sensitization offers the potential to achieve both of these aims by increasing spectral response by using different dyes to absorb light at different wavelengths whilst also reducing dyeing times from hours to minutes. This is important because large scale PV implementation is required to address the problems associated with fossil fuel combustion allied to continuing global economic growth.
