Agent based solid modeling in 3-D CAD system and its application to unit layout design

摘要

The support for conceptual design by 3-D CAD system is discussed. It is proposed that a concept of "agent" is introduced for each solid model in 3-D CAD system. Each solid model behaves as the agent, the function of which is to make negotiation among other agents of solid models to get solutions for the compatibility problem for the unit layout design. A prototype system for supporting unit layout design by using the present agent based solid modeling is developed.
