摘要

The aerodynamic noise level induced by turbulent flowrnaround the pusher-type axial fan with a shroud and a radiator isrnsimulated with solving the three dimensional unsteadyrnincompressible Navier-Stokes equations. In order to consider therneffective arrangement simply for those components for thernpurpose of maximizing the cooling air mass flow rate andrnminimizing the aerodynamic noise emitted from the system, thernsimplified method is applied, and the simulated results and thernexperimental data are compared. In this study the fan-shroudrncover ratio rc is set as a parameter and the comparisons ofrncalculations of numerical and experimental results shows that arnquantitative method could suggest the good arrangement of fanrncomponents.
