Withthe dramatic growth in case of the Internet and continuous increase of transmission capacity of optical cable trunk network, optical fiber access network has become the one of the highlights of current optical communication in the world. People start to use fiber ribbon array to replace the individual fiber to increase the fiber fensity in optical cable, which will not only decrease the time and cost of splicing, but also make the maintenance production easier for the better arrangement of fiber in the cable, China is the msot rapidly growing optical communication market in the world Many optical cable manufacturers had established the production line fo fkber ribbon. Hence, the quality measurement of fiber ribbon becomes a ver urgent task. Fiber ribbon geometric parameters measurement has become one of the major criteria. This report is address the methods of ribbon fiber geometric parameters measurement and main performance and characteristics of our designing Fiber Ribbon Geometry Testing System
