This paper defines an e-business systems development method based on UML. It consists of five phases: requirement analysis, conceptual modeling, dynamic modeling, detailed design, and systems implementation. Combined with UML and its CASE, this method is supposed to sharply reduce the workload, time, and cost of systems development. An online bookshop system is built to demonstrate the usefulness of the method.
