Opinion Extraction Method in Group Analytic Hierarchy Process

摘要

This paper presents a flexible group decision support method based on the Analytic Hierarchy Process. Although the traditional method using lower and upper limit values for making acceptable decisions encourages people to obtain compromises and tends to miss minority opinions, the proposed method allows each decision maker to assign a primary value as well to their limit values. Appling the proposed method to a decision-making problem on "Diplomatic Strategy of Japan", this paper confirms that the proposed method have worked for obtaining a variety of solutions and also found that a consistency check was important for obtaining rational solutions.
