Abstract: FTIR spectroscopy and FTIR microscopy are powerful tools not only for the analysis of lignins or celluloses but also for research on whole wood. Spectra of four lignocelluloses are presented and an application of FTIR microscopy for the analysis of an unknown inclusion in wood is shown.!3
