A NEWTON-RAPHSON ITERATION ALGORITHM FOR 3-D IMAGE RECONSTRUCTION

This paper describes an implementation of the Newton-Raphson Iteration algorithm used for 3-D image reconstruction from binocular stereo images. The algorithm is based on the gradient of disparity. It improves results of 3-D reconstruction, which can be made by different methods, for example, by correlation. It can also increase the speed of computation. The results of experiments with real stereo pictures are presented.
