摘要

Opportunities for maximising corporate revenues through plant-wide intelligent control are being considered in ferroalloy plants world-wide. Ferroalloy processes are typically large scale, multistage, multiple-variable, non-linear, with long-time delays, high reaction rate and usually unstable operations. The relationships between the process variables and operation parameters are complex and difficult to predict using traditional process control and modelling techniques, which requires a fresh approach to automation.
