With the analysis of the heat transfer mechanism of sintering heating process, a mathematical model, which based on the moisture nonlinear evaporation model, was set up to simulate the heat transfer process in sintering. Numerical simulation was adopted to calculate the mathematical model. Temperature's changing rule of different layers in sinter cake which was measured in a company, was used to validate the mathematical model. The result of the mathematical model accorded with the experimental data while the maximal relative error of the temperature peak value was only 4.97%, which was proved by comparing the result with the experimental data. It is indicated that the model is credible and can be used to forecast the sintering bed's temperature changing rule in sintering heating process commendably. The work in this paper has a guidance meaning to the sintering optimal control and energy-saving.
