摘要

A twisted-tape insert and suspended solid particles are used together in a tube flow to prevent fouling. To study the flow field around the rotary tape a Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulation is conducted. To study the dynamics of the solid particles, Discrete Element Method (DEM) is introduced and coupled to the CFD model. The collisions events between particles and the walls are well simulated.
