By using TGA technology,tepyrolysisc aracteristics under different conditions of coal and biomass blends has been discussed.The pyrolysis process of pure coal and biomass had t ree stages,The pyrolysis curves of blends ex ibited the c aracteristics wit two peaks.Results also exhibited that there was partial intersection of the two components during pyrolysis process.Heating rate had slight impact on t e initial pyrolysis temperature of biomass.The increase of heating rate acceleratee t e pyrolysis process in forepart.Heating rate had slight impact on initial pyrolysis temperature of hard coal,and there was only one peak on pyrolysis curve.W en heating rate increasee to 50℃/min,the coal exhibited incomplete pyrolysis in given temperature area. An exponent of pyrolysis characteristics of coal and biomass blends was defined w ic could reflect the characteristics of blends comprehensively.Two steps parallel reaction model was founded to describe the pyrolysis process of blends.The dynamic parameters were worked out.It provided theoretical basis for evaluating the pyrolysis characteristics of blends.
