Ground Data Processing System providers face pressurernto produce high-quality, feature-rich systems for thernincreasing number of small, low-cost space missions.rnThey also face competition from other providers whornhave begun marketing their services outside their parentrnorganization. Many processing system providers mustrnsubstantially reduce their costs in order to stay inrnbusiness. Creating a software product line, a reusablernsoftware system infrastructure and methods detailingrnhow to use that infrastructure, is one way of reducingrncosts.
