Research on the Designing Process in Environment Friendly Buildings

In this research, we have conducted the following investigations. First, in order to understand the trend of the social demands, we have researched the legal restrictions regarding environment-friendliness of buildings in local governments in Japan. Second, we have conducted interviews with several general contractors and one architectural design rum on their common designing processes. From this result, we have indicated the features by categorizing the designing processes. Based on this procedure, we have verified the actual designing cases focusing on the designing details regarding environment-friendliness and speculated the factors in proceeding smoothly in the designing process.
