The hybrid thin-film (HTF) passivation layerrncomposed of the UV curable acrylate layer and MS-rn31 (MgO:SiO2=3:1wt%) layer was adopted inrnorganic light emitting diode (OLED) to protectrnorganic light emitting materials from penetrations ofrnoxygen and water vapors. The moisture resistance ofrnthe deposited HTF layer was measured by the waterrnvapor transmission rate (WVTR). The resultsrnshowed that the HTF layer possessed a very lowrnWVTR value of lower than 0.007g/m2 per day atrn37.8 and 100% RH. Therefore, the HTF on the rnOLED was found to be very effective in protect whatrnfrom the penetrations of oxygen and moisture.
