Plastic Displays Made by Standard a-Si TFT Technology

We have developed EPLaRTM, a new way of makingrnflexible electrophoretic displays. The TFTs have thernsame good performance, reliability and maturernmanufacturing processes as TFTs used in LCDrnmonitors and LCD-TVs. We are working withrnpartners to show that plastic displays can be made inrnexisting TFT-LCD factories alongside glass LCDS. Inrnthis talk we describe the EPLaR process and showrnresults for TFT arrays on plastic made in a factory byrnstandard a-Si TFT processing.
