A Low-Power and High-Accuracy Driving Method for LTPS TFT-LCD in Mobile Applications

A high data accuracy and low power consumptionrndriving method and output stage of the source driverrnare proposed for the LTPS TFT-LCD in mobilernapplications. The proposed driving method isrninsensitive to the variations of the electricalrncharacteristics of TFTs, which enables the outputrnerrors of the source driver are under 1/2 LSB in allrngray levels. In addition, the power consumption of therndriver with the method is decreased to 9.9mW whichrnis 55.9% of that of the conventional source driver byrnreducing unnecessary charge waste.
