Introduction Lean NOx Trap (LNT) catalysts, also known as NOx storage-reduction (NSR) catalysts, represent one of the most effective technologies for the abatement of lean NOx emissions. In order to optimize the functions of the Ba NOx storage and precious metal components, in this study we address the impacts of Ba, Pt and Rh loading on the performance of fully formulated monolithic LNT catalysts in both fresh and simulated-road aged states.
