The life cycle inventory (LCI) of the remanufacturing of engines has been carried out on the aspects of environmental emission,recycling,and material and energy consumption.This study shows that,with 136.2 kWh power consumption,the remanufactured engine can save 8.545 kg aluminum and 18.605 kg steel; recycle 0.302 kg rubber,2.948 kg aluminum,8.307 kg steel,0.43kg babbitt,and 0.1 lkg asbestos; and emit 37.42kg CO2,0.910kg SO2,0.663kg NOx,0.302kg CO,0.001kg CH4,0.040kg NMVOC,0.005kg HC,3.492kg Dust.
