As an important component of spacecraft, if arngas-filled pressure vessel is impacted by spacerndebris, it might occur even overall bursting.rnSpherical aluminum projectiles are used tornsimulate space debris impacting gas-filledrnspherical pressure vessel with hypervelocity.rnProjectiles impact places with the same thicknessrnin different tests. By analyzing the maximum gasrnpressure of the spherical vessel, the inflationrnpressure is determined: 1.075MPa. By numericalrnsimulation, the critical impact velocity to perforaternthe front wall is determined: 2.02mm ~ 2.31mm.rnAs the projectile velocity increases, the damagernpatterns of the back wall are of different bulgedrnoutwards patterns.
