摘要

A method for time efficient bit error rate measurement, based on modulo two addition of a biasing error sequence to the original error sequence, is developed. It is proved that the time efficiency can be expressed as a ratio of the probability of error in the biasing and original error sequence. By changing the biasing probability of error the time efficient method developed reduces the sample size from several times to several orders of magnitude in respect to the traditionally used estimation methods.
