摘要

Fully dynamic metallurgical and thermal models support the effort to achieve consistent quality results under standardized production operations. This paper will show how such models have positive affects to EAF and LF operations on the example of recent installations of such advanced process optimization systems at stainless steel production lines. Besides of an overview on the models capabilities, this paper also will focus on the importance of system integration and how such process optimization systems are able to form a tight link to plant information and management systems. Examples will show that a good integration brings additional benefits and flexibility to the operations. Along with these technical information's, references will show how such solutions helped stainless steel producers to not only produce consistent quality, but also double their production capabilities.
