Dissolved oxygen concentration often fluctuates in power plant with the combined water treatment (CWT) and its injection is sometimes forced to stop for the inspection. Reducing dissolved oxygen concentration is also economical. We examined the effect of the oxygen concentration in an once-through boiler feedwater on the electrochemical potential (ECP) and oxidation-reduction potential (ORP). The findings are as follows and reveal the possibility of reducing the present oxygen concentration of 70 μg/l in the boiler feedwater.rn1. The minimal oxygen concentration to maintain CWT is approximately 20 μg/l in the boiler feedwater.rn2. Once CWT is conducted, the ECP scarcely falls even in the oxygen free condition for several hours.
