The process of explosive for underwater explosive is quite different to that in air. The characteristics of underwater explosive energy release process of explosive and some requirements for pressure sensors are discussed in the paper. The application circumstances of several domestic developed underwater explosion pressure sensors are introduced and some performance and application of pen-like underwater explosion shock wave sensor made by America piezotronics are focused on emphatically. The energy (specific shock energy and specific bubble energy) of underwater explosion for several common explosive measured by the sensor is presented and is compared with literature vale in the thesis.
