Study on the Measurement Method of Magnetorheological Fluid's Yield Stress

In the paper, the property and the preparation of magnetorheological fluids is introduced. The main parameter to weigh the mechanics strength of MRF, yield stress, is discussed. Based on the Bingham model and the momentum balance function in plate pipe, the relation expression to measuring the yield stress is given. With the result, the experimental apparatus can be built.
