摘要

The Three Gorges Project is the largest concrete structure in scale in the current world. The tetal amount of the coucrete of the project is approximately 28 million m~3. It is characterized by complicated structure, intensive construction and high technical standards. It should meet the requirements for not only stability but also the special requirements for flood releasing, power generation and navigation improvement. A lot of new techniques and technologies have been applicated to ensure the concrete quality. Design, construction and management measures adopted in the concrete works of the Project are discussed in this article on an overall basis.
