摘要

An asymptotically exact analysis based on the elasticity theory for a core and the plate theory for faces is performed to model cylindrical deformation of a sandwich plate. The obtained exact partial solution in a sense corresponds to Timoshenko-Reissner plate theory and describes the overall bending. The general solution based on the technique of integral transformation describes bending under self-balanced loads and has a form of the boundary effect. Introduction of a set of structural parameters allowed to consider various types of sandwiches including the limit cases of thick and thin faces. Parametric comparison with the known models is made.
