摘要

Korea has obtained effective results by implementing PSM(Process Safety Management) system which are based on the OSHA model of USA. However, even with the effective results of PSM, accidents such as fire and explosion by flammable liquids and gases, and toxic chemical release still happen because of design error, mechanical failure, human error and etc. As a proof of risk reduction and as a major tool of hazard management and control, the company which owns hazardous installations and materials has to submit quantified hazard assessment report to KOSHA from year 2001. Therefore, it is necessary to build our own specific reliability database. This paper introduces brief reliability database building procedure and structure such as collection of equipment specification, maintenance and operation history, data analysis, data processing and etc.
