We would like to thank the author for his presentation. The author has offered an easy to understand review of some of the current thinking on acid phosphate corrosion mechanisms. This is an important subject because many boilers, both utility and industrial, are operating with phosphate treatment programs that can lead to boiler tube failures (BTF).
