Macrofouling Prevention and Control in Service and Circulating Water Systems at CLV

We are reporting the difference found in the development of macrofouling and microorganisms at a nuclear power plant which has two units serviced by once trough systems. Using seawater as make- up, they started their operations under different conditions/circumstances in terms of the preventive chemical control. Those systmes are: Cooling water and nuclear service water (CW, TSW,NSH, and HSW). We are indicating, also, results achieved in controlling the macrofouling and microorganisms development in the aforementioned systems for the unit 1 after five years of operations.
