Pollution of the water circulation in paper mills demonstrates a wide variety of contaminants. These contaminants are both dissolved and solid. Depending on the type of product and the kind of pulps used mechanical, solid contaminants may surface in the form of wooden fragments and shives, fibers, a variety of dirt particles, adhesive materials such as hot melts, dispersion adhesives and also tar and latex. This report deals with mechanical contaminants.
