Space exploration is essentially a non-profit making concept. However in recent years it has become a multi million dollar industry with a huge impact on the world today that affects the life of every person.rnMost people are unaware of the extent to the space industry's affect on society, yet it is necessary to have awareness in order to ensure continuous fresh input into the industry. This is input of the essential resources needed to sustain the advancement of space science, including basic funding, research and experimentation ideas, membership to supporting societies, technology and expertise, testing and research facilities, and most importantly, the driving public support to continue to explore the universe.rnOptions for improving public support range from education (of technology, diversity of the industry and specific missions), advertising (of products using space technology or advertising of space events, competitions and missions) and commercialisation (using the media to market space for the general public in an interesting and exciting way).rnUltimately we need to increase promotion of the industry in order to increase input of resources, whilst safeguarding the industries integrity.
