A Mars rover is intended for: 1. soft Martian landing mission with two spacemen and a return vehicle, crew transport on the Martian surface over the distance of 1,000 km and more, crew life support during the 30 to 40 days of the Martian research period; 2. return vehicle transport; 3. ensuring the start of the return vehicle with the crew. The Mars rover option developed by our company is intended for meeting most requirements in terms of the volume and quality of the planet research, crew comfort and safety in using the space equipment and technical solutions which either exist already or are in test operation: 4. using Soyuz-TM spacecraft as an element of the Martian flight system and the crew life support tool during Martian descent, emergency launch, Martian launch and docking to the system in the Martian satellite; 5. the use of Rokot second stage launcher as the ascent rocket first stage launcher and Briz-KM RB as the second stage launcher of the rocket; 6. the development of ascent rocket takeoff and launch devices with the use of expertise in the development of similar devices used for Start mobile system on a truck base and a railway system with a ballistic missile; 7. the development of a mobile Martian platform with the use of the scientific and technological expertise acquired in aviation; 8. landing platform; 9. accommodation module (habitation module); 10. chassis with power and motor plant for cross country travel; 11. scientific instruments and equipment for the research; 12. the ascent rocket launch pod container; 13. manned spacecraft for crew retrieval 14. ascent rocket.
