The metrology science was, is and is going to remain indispensable, going more and morernin every individual’s day life. If we compare metrology as research domain with other sciences, we can sayrnthat through all its laws, metrology has an universality character. Practically, all sciences are conditioned byrnexperimental results obtained through laboratory measurements. In the context of the actual technique andrnscience development, metrology has multiple duties: from protecting the surrounding environment to thernquality control of the finalized products, from the commercial transaction control with diverse products tornwork protection or the functionality control of certain equipments with strategic importance for a country.Onrnthe brink of going the European Union, adjusting metrology legislation from Romania, was one of the criteriarnwhich needed to be satisfied for eliminating any obstacles in the way of free circulation of goods and in thernway of practicing services bet weed Romania and UE.
