The oxidation coupling of methane (OCM) has been investigated over doped CaTiO_3 catalysts in a fixed-bed reactor with gas recycle and C-2 trapping. It has been demonstrated that both high selectivity to C_2 and CH_4 conversion, thus a high C_2 yield, can be realized in such a recycle reactor which has several advantages for the consecutive reaction as the OCM reaction. The best C_2 yield obtained so far is 55 percent, which could be improved further by the optimization of reaction conditions.
