Time-Hopping Spread-Spectrum based on Balance Gold Sequences in Ultra-Wide Band Communications

To solve the problem which the spectrum spread rate is held in the clock period and the sequence length of address code lies on the quotient of clock rate with information rate. A method which is based on the Balance Gold Sequences (BGS) is presented in Ultra-Wide Band communications. After presenting a mathematical model for the system, the theoretical bit error rate (BER) performance is presented. Through computer simulation, it shows that the Balance Gold Sequences obtained higher system capacity and superior performance over the Traditional Pseudorandom Code (TPNC) Time-Hopping systems in additive noise and multi-user environments. Finally, the simulation results show that the high system capacity can be achieved in different multi-user interference (MUI).
