摘要

Rate-responsive pacing by means of implanted cardiac pacemakers is a common therapy for patients who are not able to increase their heart rate adequately during work. To provide a rate-responsive algorithm with the necessary information about work intensity snesors are incorporated either in the pacemaker or in the cables leading to the heart. we developed a new concept for rate-responsive pacing which is based on the atrio-venticular conduction time, a distinct time interval in the intracardial electrogram.
