AN EXPERIMENT OF NON COHERENT SYNTHETIC APERTURE

摘要

This study is intended to show the feasibility and the benefits afforded by the non coherent synthetic aperture technique applied to data gathered with side-scan sonars. Numerical simulations have been performed in order to analyze the point spread function. Images built from data collected with a prototype system are presented. The robustness of this kind of imaging with respect to various biases on the attitude parameters is put in evidence.
