Studies on wet white pretanned with aluminium salt (continued I)

The special alum, tanning agent- wet white was easier to be practised and the quality of the finished leather was better than the common alum, sulfate-wet white. This wet white could reduce the amount of chromate about 50 percent, Cr_2O_3 content in the waste tanning float decreased considerly (about 0.15g/l Cr_2O_3). Suitabe retanning and fatliquoring could produce the excellent garment suede leather, the furniture leather and the garment nappa leather with special characteristics. The area yield could increase 5 approx 8 percent basing on the splitting wet blue. The economical and social benefits of the special alum, tanning agent-wet white is considerable.
