Constant climate and environmental changes, as well as concern about the future generations,rnoblige us to preserve, or at least, to record the current state, along with the natural soundscape.rnThere are several techniques for soundfield recording available; however, for an accurate andrnversatile archiving and playback, careful selection must be provided. Because of the influencernof the anthropogenic sounds which distribute over long distances, preservation of the pristinernnatural soundscape is very difficult. Therefore, there are few places in Europe to find naturalrnenvironment, along with a unique soundscape, unspoilt. Undoubtedly, one of the places is thernBialowieza Forest, the oldest forest in Europe.rnMany exceptional species of animals and plants are present there. Apart from the unique naturernsounds, you can 'hear' the real and natural silence now and then. The article presents thernprocess of ambisonic recordings and the measurement of sound pressure level. The data wasrngathered in the places of strict wildlife conservation over the course of one year. The articlernraises the issue of recording, as well as the measurement of very soft sounds in terms of theirrnambisonic playback.
