摘要

A new intelligent stretch forging of slab with automatic design of forging sequence is proposed. Automatic design system to get optimum forging sequence for the desired geometry of product is newly developed by using one-step finite element analysis. The developed system is applied to the stretch forging of slab with the constraint length of product, and the optimum forging sequence for the desired height distribution in longitudinal distribution is successfully obtained. The automatically optimized forging sequence is transferred to the free forging press, and product geometry after free forging experiment is validated by comparing estimated one obtained by automatic forging sequence design system. Through the investigation, it becomes clear that the proposed system is usable to design forging sequence automatically to forge a slab into a product with arbitrary height distribution. Although this investigation is focusing on two-dimensional forging problem such as stretch forging, the basic achievement could be used for the automatic design of three-dimensional free forging if only three-dimensional one step FE analysis is installed into the proposed system.
