DEMONSTRATION PROJECT OF INTELLIGENT AGRICULTURAL INFORMATION TECHNIQUE APPLICATION

In June 1996, according to No.306 theme of Intellective Computer in No.863 proposal of National High-tech Research and Development Plan, the High-tech Department of National Scientific Committee setup a main task of Intelligentized Agricultural Information Technique Applying Demonstrate Project in the form of demonstrating project. In recent years, this project has been developing very fast, and the demonstrating regions have chosen wheat, corn, cotton, rice and soybean as their main crops for planting because they have large-scale effects. There are already 21 intellective demonstrating regions have been set up all over the country, such as Beijing, Jilin, Anhui, Yunnan and so on. Base on these intellective demonstrating regions, we have improved the application of information techniques on agriculture, enlarged the influencing scales, built up a team of information technology as well as quicken the pace of transformation from traditional agriculture to modernize agriculture.
