Analysis of Structures and Functions for Weitian (artificial field) Patterns Based on Remote Sensing Information in Southeast Anhui Province of China

摘要

Based on Landsat7 TM remote sensing data, this paper used Boolean operation between mainly information binary image and unwanted information (residential area information) binary image. Finally, we successfully gain the characters and structures information of Weitian (artificial field). The research on spatial characteristics of Weitian (artificial field) in Southeast Anhui Province and adjacent areas indicates that the spatial characteristics fall into four categories: matrix-shaped pattern, polygon-shaped pattern, feather-shaped water-net pattern and rectangular pattern. From the aspect of the corporate influence of natural and social factors, the paper analyzes the functions of each pattern, and draws the following four conclusions: a matrix-shaped pattern has a comprehensive function of defense, irrigation and transportation; a polygon-shaped pattern has a function of combining and expanding; a feather-shaped water-net pattern serves as a buffer against flood, and a rectangular pattern is convenient for intensive mechanized farming. The research on structures and functions of Weitian (artificial field) can help to understand the natural, social, political and economic environments when the Weitian was built, and to spatial and temporary evolution of Weitian’s shape, and also to provide reference for the protection and development planning of this this natural and historical cultural heritage.
