Monotonic static tests are conducted on the four groups of full-scale reinforced concrete composite beam-girder joints (PC) which are composed of precast inverted T-girders, precast rectangular beams, and cast-in-place parts(beams, girders and joints distinct) to investigate failure mode, slips between precast and post-cast parts, monolithic action of the entire cross section, positive and negative flexural strength of normal section, deformation capacity and ductility, etc.. According to equivalent strength design principle, four groups of full-scale cast-in-situ beam-girder joints (RC) specimens have been designed and the monolithic static characteristics have been studied in this paper. The contrast experiments indicated that both of the PC and RC joints failed in beams' bending. The measures of horizontal shear resistance in the combined interface of PC beams are effective. The assumption of plan section is basically fulfilled in every kind of PC beams throughout the whole testing process. In addition, based on the present Chinese concrete structure code, the design theory and calculation method of flexural strength of normal section for reinforced concrete composite beam-girder joints is studied, which disclosed the crack moments ratio of calculation values to experiment values were ranged from 0.65 to 0.95, the yield moments ratio of calculation values to experiment values were varied from 0.62 to 0.78, and the ultimate moments ratio of calculation values to experiment values were varied from 0.68 to 0.90, so the design method of current Chinese concrete structure code meet the requirements of safety and serviceability.
